A draw with Peru, victory over Estonia, defeat to Georgia and a final-round win over the Philippines left them 15th, five places above their starting seed of 20.

Jovanka Houska–Mahri Agamuradova, Round 7: a messy win in another clean sweep

Assessment (editorial judgement): The five-place rise from seed is a useful summary, but the breadth of the scoring matters just as much. England produced three 4-0 wins, recovered from each of their first two defeats, and closed the event with a match victory rather than allowing the Georgia loss to define the finish.
